Aang Serian's 'Peace Village' recording studio
re-opened in January 2005, focusing on traditional music, fusion music and contemporary Swahili
hip-hop. The studio has now been moved from a private house to the top floor of the Mollel House block, close to Aang Serian's office.

The aims of the studio are to preserve Tanzania's disappearing musical traditions, raise awareness of social issues and generate income for young artists.   We are also planning to record and edit video documentaries.

We have recently re-issued our popular Maasai Music CD, Namayana , including several new tracks and improving the sound quality.   Copies of the CD are on sale for £8.00 or US$15 from Bob Webzell, bob@webzell.co.uk , in the UK or Liz Smith, liz@metoorecords.com , in the USA.

Copies of our older recordings, Maasai Warrior Chants, Bondei Drum Music and Rhythms of the Rangi , are still available, and a new Wa-Chagga CD will be ready soon.

Aang Serian is also working closely with urban hip-hop artists in Arusha town and hopes to release a compilation album within the next few months.
